Welcome to Echo Pond Environmental Education Centre!
This year we launched a donation campaign to support Echo Pond Environmental Education Centre. With every dollar matched by the Fry Family Foundation, we’re halfway there! Please support us to help us reach our fundraising goal of $50,000.

Echo Pond Summer Camp is about connection and community. It is a place where kids and youth have the opportunity to grow their relationship to the natural world while growing their friendships with each other. The Echo Pond program was designed using principles of Experiential Learning, Earth Education, and Forest and Nature School.

Designed to help students become more aware of their environment and to enhance personal and social responsibility for environmental action, Echo Pond Environmental Education Centre is the ideal setting for outdoor education. Students are totally immersed in environmental learning during their stay. Programs are focused on ecological principles and include time to pursue a variety of recreational activities such as hiking, campfires, orienteering and community building.
Rent our wonderful space
Rentals are available to public and private groups/organizations who are committed to an environmentally responsible wilderness experience. Revenue generated from private bookings helps us to reduce the cost to the school students.
Something for everyone
We provide a fun and unique experience in the heart of the Avalon Peninsula’s boreal forest. Explore, learn new skills, build confidence, learn about local ecology, and experience sustainable living in action.
