Our Supporters
Fry Family Foundation
We are incredibly grateful to the Fry Family Foundation for their longstanding and generous support of Echo Pond. Their belief in our vision has helped us provide thousands of children with positive, immersive experiences in nature. From building renovations and green energy updates to subsidized school programs and the creation of new educational opportunities, their contributions have been instrumental in shaping Echo Pond into the vibrant and impactful learning environment it is today.
Multi-Materials Stewardship Board (MMSB)
A heartfelt thank you to MMSB for funding our beautiful kitchen garden! This space not only provides fresh ingredients for the meals we serve but also serves as a hands-on learning environment where campers and students explore sustainable practices like gardening and composting. It’s also a peaceful spot for quiet reflection, connecting our visitors even more deeply to nature.
TD Friends of the Environment Fund
We are deeply thankful to the TD Friends of the Environment Fund for their incredible support over the past decade. Thanks to their generosity, our “bogwalk” allows campers and students to explore the breathtaking biodiversity of our bogs without disturbing this fragile ecosystem. TDFEF has also been instrumental in expanding our reach by funding two new educational programs, welcoming even more classes to experience the magic of Echo Pond. Their contributions have made a lasting impact on both nature and education!
United Way NL
United Way NL has been a steadfast supporter of Echo Pond, helping us make a lasting impact in our community. Their generous grants have ensured that our school programs remain accessible to all students, giving every child the opportunity to learn and grow in nature. In 2024, they provided vital funding for our Camp Rainbow program, making it possible to offer a life-affirming and inclusive camp experience for trans, non-binary, and 2-spirit youth in Newfoundland and Labrador free of charge.
Canada Summer Jobs and Summer Student Employment Program
We are grateful to Canada Summer Jobs and the Summer Student Employment program of Newfoundland and Labrador for helping us create and subsidize meaningful positions for youth within our school and summer camp programs. Together, their support allows us to provide valuable work experience to young people while enhancing the programs that inspire and educate our campers and students.
Enabling Accessibility Fund
The Enabling Accessibility Fund has made a significant impact at Echo Pond by supporting essential infrastructure upgrades. With their funding, we’ve added physically accessible and gender-neutral washrooms, ensuring that all visitors can feel comfortable and supported during their time here.
VOCM Cares
Thank you to VOCM Cares for helping make Camp Rainbow possible in 2025. Their support has allowed us to provide a life-affirming and inclusive camp experience for trans, non-binary, and 2-spirit youth, creating a safe space where they can connect, grow, and thrive.
